Several excursions/camps of educational benefit for the students are arranged to places of interest during the year. Excursion venues are chosen by teachers to enhance the learning undertaken by students. For some year levels, camps (overnight or longer) will be conducted.
Children in these year levels are invited to attend at least one excursion per year. The excursions may vary from year to year and are dependent on the unit of work the children are studying at the time. Excursions are designed to enhance and reinforce student learning in a different setting.
Children in these year levels are invited to attend a camp as follows:
Year 4 – Maranatha Recreation Camp – 3 days
Year 5 – Noosa North Shore Retreat – 3 days
Year 6 – CYC Burleigh/Lennox heads – 5 days
Camps are designed to enhance student independence, confidence and leadership skills in an exciting and stimulating setting.
