The curriculum we teach is drawn from The Australian Curriculum. Over recent years the teachers at Eumundi have been involved in a range of professional development to familiarise themselves with the Australian Curriculum in order to teach and assess the following learning areas – English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education, The Arts, Technologies and Languages (Italian) .
As a result of well-planned units of work that address these learning areas, as well as addressing the learning needs of our students, the students in our classes are engaged in meaningful, stimulating learning designed to cater for their diverse needs in order to help them become successful learners, confident and creative individuals, and active and informed citizens. The units of work also embed, where appropriate, the seven general capabilities - literacy, numeracy, Information Communication Technology (ICT), critical and creative thinking, ethical behaviour, personal and social competence and intercultural understanding with the three cross-curriculum priorities - Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures, Asia and Australia's engagement with Asia and sustainability as outlined by the Australian Curriculum.
