What a fantastic day we had last week at our Year 6 STEAM Showcase! Well done to all the teachers, teacher aides, student teachers, parents and students for a marvellous morning of learning. The students were highly motivated and engaged with their STEAM Presentations. They passionately shared their knowledge with the Eumundi community.
On Thursday 20 of June, there were big smiles on students’ faces as the 2019 Year 6 STEAM Showcase finally began. Happy and curious kids from Prep to Year 5 filled the hall, all looking like they wanted to learn something new. There were a wide variety of learning centres from aerodynamics to zoology. Topics and areas of interest were endless, from; ‘How to Recover from a Snake Bite,’ to ‘How to Make Your Own Aerofoil’, and from ‘How to Save the Bengal Tiger’ to ‘How to Make Paper’. The learning centres set up included interactive displays and activities to make learning a fun and educational experience for the other students. All the stalls were astonishing and students from Year 6 had put in countless amounts of effort to make the day one to remember. Overall, the day was amazing, all the Year 6 students should be so proud of the stalls they created and all the hard work that they put in to make the day great!
