Some positive news this week with the school finalising details for the construction of a new state of the art building which has the capacity to accommodate up to 12 new classrooms, new art/music room, toilets, a covered outdoor learning space and junior outdoor play space planned to commence at the end of 2019.
The new building will be located on the site next to the library where we currently have the Year 3 and 4 undercover area and senior toilet blocks and will take approximately 9 -12 months to build before we will be ready for students and teachers to access. See below a preliminary drawing of the proposed building from the oval terraces.
This is very exciting news for us at the school and we look forward to work on the project commencing later in Term 4. Obviously the new building will cause some challenges during construction but in the end we will have a wonderful new facility for our students and teachers to learn and work in. The project will commence with the installation of temporary toilets to be located on the oval near the Year 5 and 6 eating area. Parents will receive further updates as the project begins to move forward.
