NAIDOC Week was held this year from July 4-11, which was during our school break. We were lucky to engage in the Tribal Link experience before the holidays but Eumundi State School held more celebrations during the first week back of Term 3.

Wednesday was our main day with activities being held in the COLA (Covered Outdoor Learning Area) before school, morning tea and lunchtime. Children were able to engage in dancing, face painting, book reading, arm band making, scratch art and bush tucker bliss ball making. It was lovely to see so many faces engage in these activities and a fun time was had by all.

Throughout the week the entire school participated in the colouring in competition. The Years 3-6 students coloured in the official NAIDOC poster titled “Care for Country”designed by Maggie Jean Douglas, a Gubbi Gubbi artist.

Each class had a winner selected, well done to those students.  A special congratulations goes to our overall winners, we hope you enjoy your prizes.

Prep- Yr 2: Eloise

3-4: Alexa

5-6: Zara
